Heartache

They think their heartache is true...
If they only knew.
How deeply my heart aches for you.
They're upset because their high school love has gone away.
When I can't even touch you where you lay.
They were dragging their feet
 My world was shattering
It was Monday morning.
"Take an alternate route" they said,
As if your broken body was merely an inconvenience.
They simply said,
one dead.
And you were not even a name.

Love Hopeful

Familiar is your voice as you call my name,
Gentle is the hand that glides across my skin.
Warm and bottomless are the eyes that know my soul.
This one, this time it's different.

I crave goodnight cuddling,
and good morning kisses.
I crave midnight stargazing, and midday picnics.
I crave dances in the rain,
and long nights spent laughing.

Patient is my heart as I wait on you,
And strange are the feelings you've sparked in me.
Wide is the smile that dances across my mouth as my soul warms to your touch.
I smiled because I knew, that
You craved me too.

They conform

They lost me.
At the urges to become fake,
The moment they desired conformity from me.

They lost me.
Once they asked me to analyze the world to death,
When they chose not to understand me.

They cannot recover me now.
I am long gone,
Running free in my own daydreams.
I am lost in wild hopes,
Too far gone to find my way back to their cynical world.

Whispering Wind

The wind is playing his broken melody tonight,
Discordant notes clamor for calm with all their might.
Melancholy tunes search for soothing in their fright.
